isolani - Javascript: Breaking the Web with hash-bangs

A murb'ed feed, posted about 13 years ago filed in web, javascript, development, url, ajax & hash.

Recently LifeHacker switched to urls ala Twitter and alike: instead of referencing to domain/page a hash tag is included: domain/#page. In HTTP (the hypertext transfer protocol) this means the content is located at the the page-section of the homepage, not on some refreshed state of the homepage. Whatever… this article explains it in more depth, and better.
