Facebook is sucking up extremely sensitive, personal medical data from collaborating apps, even when users aren’t on Facebook. It’s hard to be surprised by Facebook after the endless avalanche of scandals, but this is still shockingly outrageous.

We are in dire need of proper privacy protections. The behavior described in the @wsj article should have criminal consequences of executives of both Facebook and apps that supply them with medical information on the sly.
