To self answer: I want that things can be explained. Processes, some sort of structure, typically enables one to have checks and balances. I strongly believe that is important and we should always be critical about the work we do. For this we need traces, proof, evidence. By following some kind of process allows us to iterate and improve. It can be a pain. And it shouldn't be done for punishment and top down control, but for understanding. Now and later. That contrasts with secrecy and vague "I'll handle that" / that will be taken care of, with no way to verify the ethical, financial, legal aspects.
