Recently I attended a presentation on collection management tooling. In archival situations a lot involves high resolution scans of original works, and studying just mere details. A lot of the tooling around this workflow is based on the iiif (“tripple-ay-ef”) standard. From viewers, to annotation tools to servers. No need to reinvent the wheel.
