@b9AcE @jayeless reminds me of construction of a mega datacenter by #Microsoft in The Netherlands. Microsoft was allowed to continue construction with a ‘gedoog’ permit, basically a permit that says government won’t look assuming everything is just fine, while there were also concerns about drinkwater supply https://nos.nl/l/2398089 (in Dutch) (note that the biggest controversy here was about this single datacenter consuming all energy from a nearby wind park while we were still struggling to meet even our own targets in sustainable energy production)
