Sounds like the think I’ve been looking for for quite a while, encrypted rsync backups for my Synology to some remote.
Note that this tutorial assumes you’re installing tools using the ipkg command. This is no longer necessary, Duply is offered through the SynoCommunity as a beta package (make sure you allow for installing beta packages on your diskstation).
