I enjoy working with Ruby on Rails for developing. Rails 6 looks to be a forward looking iteration of the Rails framework with some interesting new features. One of which is ActionText; integrated wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editing of online-texts, based on the Basecamp Trix editor. In almost every project I’ve found the need of some text-fields that could use text with a little bit of markup. While markdown is fine for simple markup, I never found it to work really well with images. Dealing with images inline, handling uploading etc, has often been quite a challenge (for a simple soul like me that is) to integrate properly. ActionText promises to solve this. Looking forward to using it!
